Orleans Bar, Klamath County, PO and County seat, is on the west side of the Klamath River, in a locality difficult of access. Roads lead to it from Trinidad, the seaport of the county, on the west, and from Shasta, via Sawyer's Bar, on the south and east. Rich placers are found on the river bars and in the neighborhood, but owing to the isolation, and the mountainous and broken character of the surrounding country, the resources of the section have been but slightly developed.
