Suisun City, Solano County California
Suisun City, Solano County, adjoins Fairfield
on the south, stands at the head of navigation on the arm of
Suisun Bay, and is also a station, in connection with Fairfield,
on the California Pacific Railroad. Previous to the construction
of the Railroad, it was the shipping point of a rich section of
country, and much of its trade has been diverted to new
channels.
With convenient navigation, and in the midst of a fertile
region, it must continue to be a place of considerable
importance.
One newspaper, the Solano Republican, is published
weekly.
